Real Wedding: Jen + Dan’s Downtown Denver Wedding

As a wedding planner in Colorado, I get to witness love stories in some of the most beautiful and unique venues across the state—but Jen and Dan’s celebration at Ironworks in Denver was truly something special. With a mix of timeless charm, personal touches, and a love for literature woven throughout their day, this wedding felt like a page straight out of a romantic novel.

Before the official festivities began, Jen and Dan shared an intimate first look and time for photos at Denver’s iconic Union Station.

Their ceremony took place indoors at Ironworks—a venue rich in industrial elegance and historic charm. One of my favorite details? Jen and Dan brought in their own bookcase backdrop, carefully curated with special books that held meaning to them. It was a beautiful, symbolic nod to their shared story and love of literature, and it added so much personality to the space.

Cocktail hour was held on the main level, where guests mingled, laughed, and raised glasses to the couple. During this time, a few heartfelt toasts from family members. Their signature cocktails—including crowd-favorite espresso martinis—added a fun and flavorful touch to the celebration.

Guests then headed upstairs for dinner, where they were welcomed by long tables adorned with their own personal books as centerpieces—keeping with the literary theme in the most romantic way. Dinner was served buffet-style, offering a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, and more toasts from friends brought both laughter and a few happy tears.

After dinner, the celebration returned to the main level, where Jen and Dan surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance that had the whole room cheering. The dance floor quickly filled up, and from that moment on, it was nothing but high-energy fun as guests danced the night away.

From their first look at Union Station to the last song on the dance floor, Jen and Dan’s day was a perfect reflection of who they are: thoughtful, joyful, and full of love. It was an honor to help bring their vision to life and witness their story begin a new chapter.
